COMMON TYPES OF EYE HEALTH CONCERNS
Ortho K Lens: Treat/reshape the cornea by the specially designed Ortho-K lenses, when worn consistently overnight, temporarily reduces myopia and allows the patient to function without corrective lenses during the day.

Astigmatism: Astigmatism develops when the front of the eye curves into a bulge or oval shape. It causes blurred vision and can be difficult to correct because regular contacts cannot account for the bulging.
Dry Eyes: When eyes become excessively dry, it leads to irritation, burning, redness and blurred vision. Contact lenses can exacerbate these conditions by making it feel like a foreign object is stuck in your eye.
Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis: This form of conjunctivitis is caused by inflammation on the inner surface of the eyelid. Protein buildup on contact lenses can make this condition worse.
Keratoconus: This is an uncommon condition that causes major discomfort when wearing contacts. Keratoconus happens when the cornea becomes thinner and allows the eye to bulge forward. The bulge forms into a cone shape.
Presbyopia: Eyes tend to have a tougher time focusing on close objects as they age. This condition is known as presbyopia. It typically affects people aged 40 or older.

Age-related Macular Degeneration: This is most common cause of irreversible vision loss in the U.S. It is characterized by drusen formation, retinal degeneration and gradual wearing away of the retina.

Diabetic Retinopathy: Abnormal blood sugar levels can affect the eyes in many ways, which the retinal blood vessels are damage. This can lead to abnormal leakage of fluid and blood into the retina, creating loss of vision.

“This was a great appointment. I got there it was no wait. The Dr did a great job of answering all of my questions. Visit took no more than 20 min. I didn't feel rushed. I went right over to Target to get my glasses and was pleasantly surprised by their selection! I'm definitely continuing my eye care appointments at this location.”

“This place is amazing! First of all I'm meticulous, some would say extra, and difficult to please. The doctor is kind with a warm personality he listened, and answered every single one of my questions. The office is very clean and well kept. The doctor notified me of the charges prior to my appointment as well. We will definitely be returning!”

“Hands down this was one of the BEST eye exam experiences I've ever had! Dr Quach has an outstanding chair-side manner. He was extremely kind, professional, knowledgeable and thorough! Which can be hard to collectively find in a doctor these days. The office is clean and organized. And Dr Quach took the extra time to clean the equipment in front of me before using it. Which is very important for me to see vs being told it was done. They also verified my insurance before my appointment which was great because, I appreciate not having surprises and knowing cost upfront.”

“After having tried numerous optometrists in Pearland, I decided to give Texans Eye Care a try. I was not disappointed. Dr. Quach is AMAZING. He's a fantastic listener and strives to ensure that your sight is the absolute best it can be. I had to go in for 3 follow ups in order to figure out how to handle distance vs reading with my contacts. He suggested numerous options and tried them all willingly. I won't be going anywhere else for my eye doctor appointments!!”
